The Kids Zone at WOMAD Taranaki [New Zealand] was a feast of creative activity. There were the folk from The Flying Tuatara's working with kids to create fantastic creatures.
There were the folks at the kids percussion workshop teaching the intricacies of rhythm and the discipline of when to and when not to make sounds. There were the face painters.
And then there was the parade - the culmination of a weekends worth of creative activity - just superb!!
And by the way - not all the kids were of school age!!
